Mr. Larry Wayne Murphy died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at a hospice facility in Texarkana. Mr. Murphy was born December 18, 1949 to Chalton and Christine Murphy in Ashdown, AR. He was a lieutenant in a federal prison. He was in the Army where he served as a medic in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his father, one brother, and one sister. He is survived by his mother Christine Hendrix of Ashdown, AR: his wife Marion Murphy of Ashdown, AR: one son David Glen Murphy of Ashdown, AR: one daughter and son-in-law Miranda and Luke Knudson of Ashdown, AR: and two grandchildren Anthony and Ryley Knudson of Ashdown, AR.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ashdown, AR. Services will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Jim Cross officiating. In lieu of flowers make donations to the United Methodist Church in Ashdown, AR.
