Jerry C. Prater, 74, of Ashdown, AR passed away January 19, 2017 in a Texarkana, TX hospital.
Mr. Prater was born to A. B. "Buddy" and Lillian Prater in Bradley, AR. He was a member of Hicks Baptist Church and an army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and two brothers.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Brian Reed of Wake Village, TX; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Raymond Miller of Foreman, AR; one grandson, Justin Turner of Fayetteville, AR and one great-grandson, Brady Turner.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown, AR. Services will be Monday, January 23, 2017, 2:00 PM at Hicks Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Woods officiating. Interment to follow at Wilton Cemetery.
