David Warrick, 72, of Foreman, AR died Friday, December 8, 2017 in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Warrick was born October 12, 1945 in Wallace, AR and graduated from Foreman High School in 1962 at the age of 16. After attending Texarkana Junior College, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and was stationed on board the USS Observation Island, a polaris missile test ship, home ported in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He graduated from the U. S. Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island in 1967 and served as a court reporter for various legal proceedings on the ship.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Foreman and a member of the Foreman Kiwanis Club for 35 years. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he served as a rural mail carrier in Foreman. He was known as friend to all who met him.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Earlene Warrick of Foreman, one daughter, Lana Gail Coogan and husband, Todd of Mena, AR, six grandchildren, Hannah McDonald, Davy McDonald, Kate McDonald, Daniel McDonald, Jacob Coogan and Beth Coogan, all of Mena, one sister-in-law, Norma Yates of Bradenton, FL, one niece Dianne Speas of Perry, FL, and one nephew, Leslie Yates of Grapevine, TX.
Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Madden Funeral Home in Foreman, AR. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church of Foreman. Burial will follow at the Arden Cemetery in Arden, AR under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Arden Cemetery.
