Mr. Charles Walter Portwood, 64, passed away August 25, 2017 in Texarkana, TX. Mr. Portwood grew up in Red Lick, TX and was formerly from Montgomery, TX. He was born March 4, 1953 in Waco, TX to Charles and Carribeth Portwood.

Mr. Portwood is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Willis Portwood, Christopher Wayne and Angela Portwood of New Braunfels, TX, one daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Pel Ketonen of Wiley, TX, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary "Penny" Cooper of Checota, OK, Carrilyn and Michael Oden of Ashdown, AR, three grandsons, Caleb Portwood, Spencer Portwood, and Carter Portwood, two granddaughters, Abigail Ketonen and Grace Portwood and eight nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Allen Portwood.
Chuck had a loving heart and will be remembered for his love of working in his wood shop, being a motorsports fanatic and giving the longest, warmest hugs.
Family and friends are invited to a remembrance lunch at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 3rd at the Oden home at 213 Hwy 108 Ashdown, AR. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.
