Barbara Sue Deaton Miller, 82 of Ashdown, AR went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on May 14, 2017. Barbara was born on February 7, 1935, to Felix and Beulah Richardson Deaton. After graduating high school, she attended nursing school at Texas Women's University in Denton, TX, and met and married Benjamin M. Miller, Jr. on Dec.24, 1953. Together they raised 4 children. Barbara was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Foreman, AR, and in her later years served as a foster grandparent for the Ashdown and Foreman school districts. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, and is survived by brother, Tommy Deaton of Lufkin, TX, two daughters, Cathey and husband, Glenn Hughes of Gun Barrel City, Deborah and husband, Tommy Martin of Foreman, AR, two sons, Benjamin Miller, III of Kemah, TX, and Tom and wife, Melissa Miller of Rockwall, TX, 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a special brother-in-law, Clark Miller, of Desoto, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday May 16th at 1pm, prior to funeral service with funeral following at 2pm at Madden Funeral Home Chapel, Ashdown, AR. Rev. Kat Burchfield officiating. Interment will follow the next day at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, TX Wed May 17th. Special thank you to Pleasant Manor Nursing Home and Hospice of Texarkana.
