Alice Lois McGraw, age 88 of Ashdown, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2016.
Mrs. McGraw was born June 11, 1928 in Hugo, Oklahoma. Lois spent many years serving as a nurse at the local hospitals and in the Ashdown Public Schools. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Ashdown, AR. She enjoyed her family, church, being involved in the community and especially the Senior Citizen Center of Ashdown. She is preceded in death by her husband, Worth F. McGraw Jr., daughter, Alice Ann McGraw, brother, Dan Grounds Jr., and sisters, Ruth Walker and Carol Jean Stephens.
She is survived by her sister, Catherine Black of Fayetteville, AR, daughter, Nita McGraw of Ashdown, AR, son, Fred McGraw of Ashdown, AR, two grandsons, Rick McGraw of Fayetteville, AR and Josh Ward and wife, Suzanne of Ashdown, AR, two granddaughters, Collin Holderfield and husband, Zach of Fayetteville, AR, and Anna McFarland and husband, Russ of Ashdown, AR, two great-grandsons, Worth McFarland and Andrew Ward, both of Ashdown, AR, a great-granddaughter, Karleigh McFarland of Ashdown, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Ashdown Cemetery in Ashdown, AR with Bro. Jim Cross officiating. Burial is under the direction of Madden Funeral Home.
